Borgerhout.tv is a hyperlocal website that publishes high quality video reports about everyday news items in Borgerhout, a multicultural district of the city of Antwerp in Belgium. The goal is to get interaction between the different local cultures by stimulating social cohesion by providing a common hyperlocal subject to talk about. I was responsible for the logo design and helped to launch a new responsive website linked to social media. To increase the visitors to the website, a design for a printed small newspaper with the latest headlines was also necessary. The result is an extremely interesting project that attracts up to 12,000 visitors a month and 1,000 a day from which 45% are new and 33% originate from Facebook and Twitter. Today more than 20% of the visitors use a tablet or mobile device while viewing the website and video reports.
