Started with a sketch I was playing around with. At first it was just a 5 minute sketch, but after doing a bit of online searching through Google, LogoLounge, Logopond, I was surprised that I couldn't find something like it. So I wanted to render it!

After making sure he worked in black and white and in color, I realized lobsters don't put their antennae back like a dude slicks back his hair, so I reversed it. Also broadened his tail as to better complete the heart shape. Last major change was to add "sand" under him to add a nice little touch of an oceanic feel, as well as fill out the heart shape better as well. 

Lastly, adding some additional line work, texture, and unevening his eyes to help add a little break to the symmetry... We have our Lovester.
