「養樂多購物模式」意指人們為了養育成長、樂活自我進而達到多元生活之目的,會在購物時透露出潛在人類本性中最原始的動物行為。各層級之消費能力者皆於消費時顯露各式有趣行為,這些事件在生活周遭層出不窮,有趣購物小故事、令人驚嘆的消費狀態、不得不知的消費市場小心機等。藉由插畫結合設計的方式,將購物現象分享給大眾,進而省思並深切了解現代消費模式及文化。
 
“Shopping Ethology” refers to bring and develop the purpose of growing joyfully and self-actively, so that the diversified life can be achieved. When we are doing shopping, our animal instincts reveal; but they differ from our personalities, the environments we are in, the merchandise we are buying…, and so on. 
我們將數十篇消費者行為轉化成漫畫故事,依消費區域的階級分為六座島嶼,敘述我們在台灣生活所觀察到的現代人消費模式。

And this transformation story dozens of consumer behavior, according to the class of consumer area is divided into six islands narrative of modern consumption patterns we observed living in Taiwan.
養樂多世界地圖 / The World map
 
「養樂多購物世界」擁有六座島,由於其地理關係,逐漸演變成熱帶沙漠、溫暖雨林、盛花滿開的花園、堆金如山的礦山、全年風雨的災難島以及四季如春的仙境島。也由於地理型態與氣候不同,使這六座島上的人民生態呈現了不同的生活模式,人們購物方式也顯然差異甚遠。此部分表現出我們對台灣所觀察到的消費階層關係,由北至南不同的地理位置有著差別甚大的消費型態,因此在世界地圖的分佈上,將金礦山設定至頂端,其次是仙境島、小花園,而後是雨林島,最下層為災難島與沙漠島,呈現出誇張的消費階層差異。

“Shopping Ethology World” has six islands, and because of geographical differences, they have gradually become tropical “Cheap desert”, temperate “No rules market”, “Luxury garden” where flowers bloom all year around, “Gold Silver” full of mountains of mines, “Disaster” which is hit by strong typhoons all year, and “fairyland” where is like spring in four seasons. The climate and geographical differences affect the islanders’ ways of consumption and life styles. For this part, we observed the relationship and the class of consumption in Taiwan, which also differ from geographical positions. On our shopping world map, we put Gold Silver on the top, Fairyland, Luxury garden, No rules market as follows; and Disaster, Cheap desert at bottom. 
 
金礦山 / Gold Silver

原本是一座專門採礦的礦山,後來直接將豐富的金銀礦石場改造成建築物,因此吸引許多名流貴族前往,此地也就成了高物資享受者的精品島嶼,也是唯一提供「大樂透」彩券行的地方,因此也讓許多想一日致富的人爭相前往。

The island used to be a mine and rich in gold and silver. The minerals were used to construct high buildings that attract lots of distinguished personages. It has become an island where high-class consumers gather and has most boutiques. It is the only island selling lottery; because of that, people who want to embrace fortune all rush to go.
 
小花園 / Luxury garden

此島一年四季如春百花盛開,由於這樣的特質吸引許多年輕人的前往,在地商家因此將島嶼商店改造成年輕人喜愛的物品,成就了這座「小花園」。

The island is where popular shops stand in great numbers just like flowers blooming all year around. The character fascinates many youngsters, and they would transform the shops into what youngsters like, which gradually bring to this luxury garden.
 
仙境島 / Fairyland 

整座島除了擁有宜人的氣候以外,最特別的就是其獨有的「漂浮石」,此地多元的地質成就了多元的產物,因此整座島就改造成一座大型購物中心,人人都喜歡前往購物。

The island has pleasant climate and a unique plate (rock) that floats in the sky. The special geology helps produce multiple products, so the whole island was reconstructed into a large mall where everyone enjoys going shopping. 
 
雨林島 / No rules market  

如雨林般多元雜亂的島嶼,白天是菜市場,夜晚則是熱鬧的夜市。
雖然東西繁多複雜,卻也有物美價廉的時候。

It is an island with various markets─food markets in the mornings, and night markets at nights. The goods for sale are diverse and the prices are reasonable.
 
沙漠島 / Cheap desert

如沙漠般的荒島,過度炙熱而不宜人居。
儘管開有商城卻因人煙稀少往往導致歇業,販賣的物品也越趨老舊。

It is an isolated island where is too sweltering to dwell. The desolation caused the malls to shut down and the left goods become decrepit.
 
災難島 / Disaster

由於位於熱帶性低氣壓環繞之處,長年遭到颱風侵襲,因此物資昂貴,民生用品時常缺乏卻也相當昂貴。

The island is located in tropical area and always hit by typhoons, so they lack of daily supplies, and the price of goods are high.
