    A long-time powerhouse in the running category, ASICS brought a new challenge: Establish the brand as a player in training—and in digital innovation. So, we started with a dive into the world of online training. And you know what? Outside of a few giants (who shall not be named here) online training mostly sucks. It’s a lot like the online music industry was 15 years ago—clunky, slow and mostly an experiential nightmare. With all that in mind, our strategy and our conceptual thinking quickly rounded into shape. What if athletes could use a library of exercises to create custom workout playlists? What if all of those exercises and playlists were shareable? What if ASICS athletes could show off their favorite exercises and daily workouts? What if the whole thing worked seamlessly across all devices? That’s what we built. Starting with UX and IA then moving into responsive design and development, we forged ahead with prototypes and a rolling, iterative launch schedule. The ASICS Training platform is now a living, breathing thing—and we’re excited to see how it changes, improves and evolves in the future. Read Less
