Turtle shell prop for Pride of Baghdad stage adaptation

Turtle shell for Pride of Baghdad
Creative Process
Turtle shell used in a stage adaptation of the graphic novel "Pride of Baghdad", May 2019.
The elaboration was very improvised, I used a pool noodle and a half to make the edge, and used galvanized wire (it's what was available) to knit a dome net. The intersections were secured with some tape. We wrapped it with some newspaper and lots of tape, and gave it a sort of paper maché coating. I apologize for the lack of pictures but everyone's hands were too busy to take pictures.

The shell has two crossed elastics as a harness, but it is tied to the vest by three straps on each side. The mask (latex prosthetic) and the costume were done by classmates of mine, contact me for more info.
Thanks for viewing my work!
