Waterfall Silkscreen Illustration (Spring 2020)

This is a single color screen print design that I illustrated for my silkscreen class. This is one of my favorite illustrations I've ever made, because I finally had the skills to create what I had envisioned many years ago (you'll see what I mean). This is an 11x17 design that was supposed to be printed onto blue paper (see the mock-up on the left). Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I was unable to actually print this design.
The artwork I was inspired by! Created by me when I was 7 years old. I was a huge Pokemon fan, and this was part of a custom map I had imagined.
(Left) Thumbnail sketches I made to get an idea for the composition.
(Right) A sketch I made in photoshop based on one of my thumbnail ideas.
Detail shot! This is what I would have exposed onto the screen to print my designs. It has to be in black and white so the values register correctly when it gets printed. For those curious, it took roughly 7-8 hours to illustrate this.
A few mock-ups in different colors to see what they would look like.
