Indonesian traditional spices were and still become treasure of Indonesian archipelago. Spices give flavor to food, make a dish distinct and wonderfully aromatic. At colonization ages, spices are one of the most precious trading stuff; so precious that the merchants were willing to look for these treasures by coming to Indonesia. When they get treasure, they will get happy. When they enjoy good dishes, they will also get happy. That’s what Kaharsa means: happiness.
There are four kinds of spice in this packaging; each of them contained in different sack cloth. The packaging is taking shape of treasure box; with the sack cloth of treasures inside.
I used cloth sacks for each packaging's flavor.
Below are the making process of the pouch. Hand-sewn, using jute sack and piece of cloth.
Below is the first printed label design. Still too big and not appealing.
