The objects I make (mainly of silver and polished precious stones) have a double character. I often use simple, geometrical forms with rough unpolished surfaces, hard edges and corners to counterpoint the soft lines and mellow colours of the gem. I like blowing up certain details making a motif ( a heart, a rose, a gem) much bigger than usual.
I enjoy and try to reveal the sense of humour that objects may have. I would like to allow them to tell their own story. The jewelry I am interested in is supposed be slightly provocative surprising the viewer by its size or unusual material, but still pleasent to wear occasionally. Read Less
