Erica Horne

Fashion Lecturer, Designer and Product Developer

Derby, United Kingdom
As an experienced designer and CAD lecturer, I am highly skilled in the use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for the fashion industry; creating industry standard and professional work covering Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Illustration and Branding.

My main area of expertise is in CAD drawings, both fashion flats and technical drawings. I can take sketches, photos or inspirational images and create a professional looking drawing that is ready to present to a customer or supplier.

I have worked as a Girlswear designer for the past 5 years running accounts such as Mothercare, Nutmeg and Monsoon. My role required me to have an in-depth understanding of print, silhouette, pattern cutting, testing and production so I have a very rounded and vast foundation of industry knowledge, allowing me to contribute to many areas of design.

CAD for fashion also offers training and tuition in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator teaching the skills and techniques to produce CAD drawings as well as the support and insight needed to produce beautiful industry standard work. My expertise has lead to employment as a sessional lecturer at the University of Derby and Coventry as well as running courses for Nottingham Trent University and Creative Studios Derby.

Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss your project and I look forward to hearing from you.
