I use imagination, creativity and state-of-the-art tools to study and visualize the impact of design decisions. I am convinced of the added value of 3D in every phase of a project, from the first sketches to the final presentation.

In the past 25 years I have worked on design and visualisation of a great many rather varied projects, first for Rem Koolhaas at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture and since 2000 at VHP/Royal HaskoningDHV. On 3 December 2013 I started my own firm: 3Develop.

I have experience in a variety of scale levels and disciplines such as architecture, urbanism, landscape, industrial, interior, infrastructure, public spaces, graphic design, water projects and astronomy/spaceflight.

I apply my 3d skills in every phase of the process, not only as an instrument of presentation or explanation but also as a design tool. I use a combination of programmes like Autocad, 3ds Max and Photoshop, next to more traditional techniques like handsketching. Other specialities include sun studies, night impressions, animations and stereo images.

I am constantly searching for new ways to present projects, looking at various fields like art, movies, advertisement, photography and comics for inspiration.
