Art Director

After nearly two years at CWDI (formed when Colourworks merged with Designers Ink), I stepped up to the role of Art Director. I work closely with the design team, Creative Director and motion production partners on various projects from concept to final production. Project highlights include:

• Internal marketing communications and product launches for FNB
• Internal marketing communications and event collateral for GE Healthcare

Senior Graphic Designer

On returning from London I joined CWDI (then Colourworks) as a Senior Graphic Designer. As a team we shared our knowledge and conceptualised unique marketing campaigns, brand activations, events and corporate identities on a daily basis. I worked closely with the creative team under the mentorship of the Creative Director to deliver various projects from brief to final production for clients including Allan Gray, PSG, MTN, Coronation and many more. Lead Graphic Designer

I was trusted with finding a suitable candidate for the role of Junior Designer and had to take on more responsibilities. I maintained strong relationships with other international agencies, photographers and luxury brands. I was also responsible for conceptualising and delivering marketing campaigns and overseeing the junior designer’s projects, whilst adhering to budget and tight deadlines. Project highlights included:

Flock’d is an integrated digital agency in London that specialises in responsive web design and app development. I helped to launch the business by designing a brand identity and collateral. I also worked on other projects which included the following:

• A logo, collateral and brand guidelines for a domiciliary care company Mercyland Care
• Conceptualised and designed an poster campaign for the Humanrace Festival of Sport in Cornwal which included: An event promotion poster in collaboration with First Great Western displayed along the route from London Paddington towards Marazion. Other posters included an informative sport-focused poster, a sponsor advertising poster for Tribute displayed in the St Aubyn Estates pubs as well as a music festival poster showcasing various local bands.

Completed a thesis on corporate identities during my studies, which included a branding identity for the design and art department of the university. This consisted of a logo, stationery, signage, promotional items, clothing, corporate manual and website. Other course projects included branding, adverts & posters, packaging, publication covers, menus & labels, drawings, jewellery design, displays and promotional items.

Projects for personal clients included signage for a law firm, a course information brochure for a university, folders for a beauty pageant, branding and advertising for a model search and stationery.
