Sandy studied Mechanical Engineering and Biomechanics at Duke University. After getting an MFA in choreography, he toured the world as a professional dancer with Momix and Pilobolus, then went on to co-found a large movement and media center in New York City called the Movement Salon.

For the past six years, he has focused on media production, writing, producing, and animating for Discovery Education, ABC News One, educational publisher Facts on File, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Sandy has played on-camera host for three science productions, Science Sensei, a humorous web-based weekly science roundup, Physics in Action, a DVD and web video series for Films Media Group, and The Light Journal, a web series about the science of cinematography. Read Less
