Hi!

My name is Facundo López and I work as a freelance 2d animator and illustrator. I was born and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've been working in this area for a long time and I have more than 10 years of experience, both as a freelancer and as an employee.
My work reaches cel animation, character animation in After Effects, motion graphics, compositing and animatics development, as well as illustration and character design, although the latter occasionally. Lately, after working as a lead animator on a film, I've returned to focus fully on character animation in cel animation, which is the area where I most want to develop myself.

I’ve worked for Argentinean studios such as Rudo Company, Ronda or Le Cube, as well as international studios such as Wonderlust, State, Dinamita Animation and First Fight, to name a few.
Notable clients I worked for, include: Google, Cartoon Network, Nick Jr., Nike, Facebook and IBM.

One of the most important and recent experiences of my career so far, has been working as lead character animator in the cel animation feature film "The Ledge", by the colombian studio "Dinamita Animation" and under the animation direction of Pablo Navarro, from whom I've learned a lot and who has worked on films such as "Klaus" by SPA.

On the other hand, I have a preference for independent animation, so I'm always willing to join up a short film or production that has a more critical, conscious or authorial look on the world around us.

As for my personal life, most of the time I tend to listen to music compulsively (which is my other passion), read, watch series and movies and in my free time practice sports like swimming, yoga or soccer, or get together with the people I love.
