Upon completing my schooling and a prior job at Dean Bicycles, I developed a keen interest in manufacturing processes, with a specific focus on metal fabrication. I also became intrigued by the intricacies of small business management. I firmly believed that a superior product was the result of a perfect blend of exceptional design and master craftsmanship. Motivated by this belief and aspiring to start my own design operation, I joined NeoSource in late 1998 and remained there until the end of the summer in 1999. NeoSource specialized in designing and manufacturing lamps for both commercial and private applications.
My time at NeoSource was a hands-on learning experience, where I truly grasped what it meant to be a manufacturer and a craftsman. I also came to appreciate the paramount importance of handling raw materials with care and precision to ensure the production of high-quality products. I vividly recall our meticulous approach to selecting metal sheets at the sheet metal yard, where we would painstakingly choose those with the fewest damages or scratches. This exemplified the rigorous quality control standards instilled in me during my tenure at NeoSource.
