Like most artists, I enjoyed creating art before I knew you could make a living at it. I was a promising art major throughout high school, and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, as a result of self-doubt I wasn't strong enough to take much criticism or rejection. I spiralled into a life of drugs and alcohol which completely derailed my artistic ambitions as well as the rest of my life. The passion I had as a kid was gone. For 14 years, I was unable to create anything.

Yet I never let go of my dream of being an artist. Over the recent years, I finally confronted my doubts and fears. I grew as a person so that I could become the artist I was always meant to become. Oh and I quit the drugs and alcohol. :)

In late September, I began my first painting in 14 years; Invictus Anima (Latin for Invincible Spirit). I'm posting my progress for the hell of it, for feedback or tips, to make connections, and just to put myself out there again. I'm enjoying the journey. Thanks for stopping by! Read Less
