EMMA-LOUISE PIKE

Graphic Designer

London, United Kingdom
I am a hard working and creative person, ready to take on any task put before me. I am fully capable with Adobe design software, and I have good craftsmanship skills. Anything I do not know is not an issue as I am a fast learner with a good memory, so I have no doubt that I will get the hang of it very quickly.

I really enjoy designing and making things that have a purpose, and look amazing. I work well independently as well as in a team, all with the aim of producing beautiful work. I love working on a variety of projects and applications, particularly print, branding and projects for retail, but no matter what I am asked to work on, I will always try to do my best for the project at hand, and create good pieces of design.

I have worked on a range of design applications, from branding, print, page layouts, packaging, illustration, iconography, web layouts, window displays and animation story boarding.

One Big Company

Designer

One Big Company is a full-service agency working across the disciplines of print, interactive & retail design with the perfect balance of creativity and commercial awareness.

I joined One Big Company for a couple of months, and immediately started working on a number of different projects for a diverse range of clients. These projects involved designing for applications from print, branding, logo design, packaging and illustration, to window displays and web design.

Such clients included Triumph, the international underwear manufacturer, where I helped with several pieces of printed collateral, as well as a few window display campaigns for their 'Amourette', and 'Beauty-Full' collections. These displays are being rolled out to selected stores across the UK.

I also worked on the initial redesigns, and early developments of two websites, for clients Clerkenwell Tales (Booksellers) and Bartholomew Landscaping. Both websites should be up and running by the end of 2013.

Other clients include: Ted Baker, Macmillan Publishing, Ruby & Freddies, Wajba Express, Hamptons International, Strutt & Parker, Taylor Wimpey and Daniel Cobb.

The One Off

2D Graduate Designer

The One Off is an interdisciplinary design agency based in the UK with a wonderful team of talented designers, strategists and developers.

After a two month placement I was offered a position at The One Off. I worked on a variety of projects for a number of clients. My main client was the Orangutan Foundation, where under the guidance of my Team Head, I was the sole designer creating the Foundation’s new visual identity and brand guidelines.

I also worked a lot for Samsung, particularly for their Experience Store in Westfield Stratford. I worked along with my Team Head to create a number of print related items such as a product guide, backing cards and point of sale cards for the store, accessories packaging, and a number of store campaigns, which included window displays and animation story boarding.

Another client I worked for was EE. I designed a Wall Graphic/Illustration for EE’s Training Academy, called ‘The House’, a place where EE's staff could be taught about such things as the uses and benefits of 4G technology, before they could go on to inform their customers. The complete project was featured on 'Retail Design Blog', in August 2013. I also worked on several smaller pieces of print and digital design for EE.

Other clients include: Samsung Global, Clearly Business, Shuropody, Pentland, Trillion Fund, HomeSense, and Barclays.
