Hey there, I'm Emily.

I'm not a very serious person, but I take my work very seriously. This love for visual communication and art developed into a love for design and all its relatives. It's a kind of visual story telling, and I am a story teller.

I began my love for visual arts when I was very young, which grew into a love for photography when I was 12 years old (and I finally got a digital camera) and later into a love for graphic design. As a designer I spend much of my time doing freelance work or working for Relief Journal on a voluntary basis. I also contributed to the small scale design world by giving back to my college community as a freelance designer for student organizations and the photographer/ page design editor / assistant to the editor-and-chief of our campus's yearbook.

I have won many awards for my photography as well, including a Scholastic Gold Key award in 2009 for a series of photographs I took of an Anti-Scientology protest in Chicago, and contributed much of my photography and design work to our on campus yearbook, art journal, and fine arts festivals.

I graduated from Trinity International University with a B.A. in Graphic Design in May 2013. This education has taught me a deeper love for printed work, branding, and photography but there isn't anything I don't love about design. Read Less
