As assistant to the School Exhibitions Coordinator, my duties include preparation for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts' Annual Student Exhibition, layout and installation of art exhibitions, preparation of pedestals and signage for exhibitions, cleaning and maintenance of casts, transportation, wrapping, and storing of art, assistance with permanent installation of artwork, and organizational tasks related to exhibition change-over and paperwork.

After School Program At The Pennsylvania Academy Of The Fine Arts
Painting Instructor
With this experience, I was able to teach for a semester to high school students who were offered free courses provided by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. In this painting course, we taught about palette layout, painting in monochrome and with a restricted palette, full-color still life observation, and self-portraiture study. The courses culminated in a group exhibition at the end of the year at PAFA.

As a private art instructor, I designed lesson plans that established an understanding of the foundational elements of art, encouraged exploration of materials and media, engaged creativity and imagination with fun and playful projects, and worked develop an understanding of the tools and techniques applied in art-making in students. Student situations included a single child with weekly lessons to large groups of home-school children of diverse ages.

As Assistant Curator of Exhibits, my tasks included designing layouts and placement for artifacts and art pieces in University Museum gallery spaces, hanging works on walls and placing works on pedestals within galleries, lighting gallery spaces and artwork, painting gallery walls and pedestals, hanging vinyl show titles and identification cards, and dry-mounting show information, as well as packing and unpacking works from lending institutions.
As a gallery attendant at the University Museum, my responsibilities include opening and closing the galleries daily, tidying and replacing bulbs in the exhibitions, keeping attendance of visitors, tending to exhibition receptions, making sales in the gift shop, and monitoring gallery activity.
