Working as an assistant to the editor for special interest books department of the largest newspaper in Turkey, Göknur Olguner had participated in successful projects of the small and effective team which has published many best-selling titles of that time.

Selected, reviewed and advised on books to be translated to Turkish. Also acted as the main contact point for publishers and copyright agencies regarding translation copyrights.

Responsible for the layout and design of the magazine of International Child Art Foundation. Designed logos and brochures for presentation material that were sent to the sponsors.

Oversaw the entire operation of the well-known Turkish-American life style magazine MezunLife by adding many famous writers, columnists, reporters, photographers and illustrators to the editorial team both from Turkish leading media institutions and agencies
based in US and redesigning the magazine layout including the logo and editorial structure. Magazine subscriptions and revenues have increased manifolds under her management.

Göknur Olguner has established her own photography studio in 2003 and became one of the most sought after photographers of Washington, DC and Baltimore area. She has worked in various locations including major US cities, Canada and Europe. Has attended various workshops by famous photographers such as Joe Buissink, Bambi Cantrell and Cliff Mautner and has entered into joint projects with photographers since then. Apart from her successful
wedding photography business, Göknur also does portrait and fashion sessions in her DC based studio or on location for a diverse set of clientele. Göknur Photography has a second studio in Turkey which she visits several times a year to photograph weddings and fashion industry projects.

Eleven Hearts Studios established in DC metro area in 2008. Since then the owner and main photographer Gigi Goknur Olguner strive to bond good memories with her artistic and photojournalistic approach. Her photographic collection includes weddings, portraits, fashion and editorial subjects showcased in many publications, She has been selected as one of the top wedding photographers of Washington Metropolitan area in 2006.
