Volunteer Activities

In my pursuit of the Arts, I have volunteered in various ways. Here are some.

I volunteered at a traditional book maker over a summer with an actual letter press where I sewed book bindings, made paper and organized the type for the letterpress.

I have been a member of two dance troups. Ethnica - an ensemble representing dance styles of the world with primary emphasis in Bellydance. And Pasion Flamenca, an amateur Flamenco dance troupe. We performed at Rose Wagner theater as well as various cultural festivals througout the region.

I have studied music throughout my life. I studied piano from age 5-18 and classical guitar. I can also play the zills (bellydance finger symbals) and castanets.

I attended a Storytelling workshop and participated as a Oral Storyteller in front of an audience.
