Worked as part of an award winning, international in-house design team developing high end bicycle components across SRAM’s five distinct brands and several market categories. Supported product development efforts with on-time delivery of design solutions that are appropriate for the product’s brand, category, and price level. Collaborated with team leaders to help plan development schedule and implement Lean Product Development process. Helped to develop SRAM’s product form language that brought a cohesive aesthetic to products while still maintaining each brand’s uniqueness. Mentored and provided guidance to junior designers and interns. Responsible for working with Global ID Manager to help continually improve ID’s working process and contribution to the strength and awareness of the SRAM brand. Responsible for developing CAD data that is tooling ready and is fit for desired manufacturing method. As the ID team’s CAD local expert, helped to organize Pro/E learning, develop robust modelling techniques, and create a collaborative modelling process with engineering.

Also charged with co-ordinating prototype model production and communicating final design direction to off-shore manufacturers.

Co-op Designer/ Industrial Designer

Created a design direction for next generation “M- Series” emergency stretchers as well as other Class III medical and EMS products that helped to establish a cohesive brand image and increase market visibility. Developed graphics and touchscreen menu interface for XPRT respiratory therapy device. Helped to enhance patient and caretaker interatction with Stryker products via ergonomics, design, and material selection. Involved in the product development cycle from early Voice of Customer sessions until pilot build. Tasked with establishing and co-ordinating design direction between marketing, R&D, and outside vendors through presentations and 3D data.
