Freelance Graphic Artist/Designer... making use of typography and illustration for companies seeking professionally designed end products in print and internet. Over 20 years experience using the Adobe Creative Suite products along with various 3D programs to enhance the final images. Software consisting of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Cinema 4D, Strata 3D, Carrara 3D, Dreamweaver and other essential programs. All to benefit a smooth and professional service to my clients.
My passion for drawing as a child grew into a desire to make use of my skills as a graphic artist. Reading and drawing comics was a big hobby for me growing up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After graduating from high school, I attended and received an Advertisng Design Degree from The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale where I studied commercial art, fine art and photography and have been attending seminars, workshops and online learning programs ever since. I've been a serious Photoshop experimenter ever since my mac computer could handle it. Over 20 years now.
3D elements are frequently in used in my work. But the use of Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Cinema 4D, and FinalCut Pro are truly essential for the day to day work that I produce.
I've worked in and with enough print shops to have a good handle on any print project that comes my way. Firstly I was an Airbrush artist, then T-Shirt screen print artist later to get into designing of pretty much anything that could be printed from Matchbook Covers to Billboards.
I started out always taking the art and photography classes in High School and always leaned toward graphic design. Then I worked my way through print shops, varying freelance jobs and design studios.
Upon landing a job with a company that produced Yardage Books for Golf Courses I found myself learning the nooks and crannies of all the great things Photoshop, layout and 3D programs have to offer.
Menu design provides a lot of room for creativity. So I have followed that course for several years doing covers and menus for a variety of restaurants.
Always striving for better quality in my designs and work is important. Keeping up on the essential software is right up there as well in my priority list.
