Distrito Federal, MexicoAfter more than 20 years of experience in the treatment, creation and development of brands, the coming and going of communication strategies and advertising concepts, today, Jorge B. Garrido more than an art director or creative, has come to be placed in the middle as a consultant or coordinator of ideas and concepts on these issues.
He founded and directed Oblicua (1998-2010), a design studio inspired by humor and passion for design. In 2010 Co-funds Two Apes, a communication studio where communication, strategy, and design were combined.
Since 2014 he works independently with clients within the country and abroad with projects focused mainly on branding and identity.
He has been invited by different universities such as Tec de Monterrey, La Benemérita University of Puebla, UPAEP, Universidad Iberoamericana, Intercontinental, among others, to give talks, conferences, and workshops in the areas of communication, design, art direction and above all to talk about the experience of more than 20 years in the middle of design. His work has been published by different publishers such as Zeixs, Die Gestalten, Taschen, etc. besides being recognized for design awards in Mexico.
His thorough knowledge of brands, communication strategy, plus strategic alliances that he has at a national and international level allows him to generate integral projects in a simple, effective and direct manner, understanding the needs of each one of his clients based on the analysis.
He has had the opportunity to work and collaborate on projects with clients such as Garabatos, De las Heras Demotecnia, Johnson + Johnson, Posadas Group, Tajín Summit, L'Oréal, Arrendomovil, Tane, Canon, Autoexplora, San Pablo Pharmacy, MTA Architects, Autofin Group, Master, among others.
His photographic work has been specialized in different areas, street, and urban photography and his work is published in magazines such as Nat Geo Traveler, Hemisphere, Travel + Leisure, among others.
