Daisy Ruiz is a twenty-four year old Mexican-American artist from New York City. Currently working towards her Bachelors degree in Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Some of her inspiration stems from Aztec Mythology, personal experience of being Mexican-American, and trying to reconnect with her culture. Bringing back pre-Hispanic art incorporated with realism to help preserve the culture and bring myths and legends alive.
