Diana Bobar holds the verb “to do” in her hands, sews it and brings it to life, filling it with significance, possibility and fulfillment. She was an excited painting student at the Fine Arts University in Timisoara, Romania, until she started “playing around with fabrics” by cutting some of her father’s old silk shirts and a few vintage dresses of her mother’s. Taking advantage of her few possibilities, she started publishing these fashion hybrids on her - one of the first Romanian - fashion blog and very soon was receiving appreciative feedback from people all over the world. Motivated by a feeling of accomplishment, Diana then decided to take on a whole collection! From this moment on, her unique way of working with fabrics was taking its first steps towards what was going to become her new full time job: that of a fashion designer.

Now, Diana Bobar is already an established name amongst Romania’s new wave of young fashion enthusiasts, one of her defining traits being the courage to exploit her passion, regardless of the possibility of failure. Painting and sewing have exceeded the level of being just a hobby; they materialized into a real and actual full time, 24/7 job.

Diana started from a fearless point-of-view regarding “what-we-wear”, learning how to sew from scratch, continuing with an exuberant first exercise-collection of dresses created by using a borrowed, old sewing machine; she grew to become a role model for youngsters who have discovered their passion. Her motivation is strong; her passion is genuine and the plans for the future are too many to count! Read Less
