Devon Hosford is an ambitious Motion Graphics Designer currently based in Atlanta, GA. Devon graduated in June 2014 from the Savannah College of Art & Design with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Motion Media Design.

Before college, Devon was fortunate enough to have attended a high school that was a part of the National Academy Foundation, where she received the first 4 of her 6 years in Graphic and Web Design in the Academy of Information Technology. Devon went on to become a 3-time State Championship Winner for Web Design, and went on to compete on the national level earning her rank as one of the Top 15 Web Designers in the country.

Over the years Devon was a creative leader in many programs and organizations holding positions such as President, Editor in Chief, and Secretary. Devon was also asked to be a keynote speaker at the NAF 2010 Leadership Conference, speaking to an audience of over 2,500 guests about her experiences and successes in her studies.

Since then, Devon has designed and animated for companies and brands such as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Nick@Nite, Adult Swim, McDonald's, Georgia Pacific, Adobe Systems Inc. and the Walt Disney Company.

It is with these life lessons and experiences that Devon embraces the challenging and ever present world of Motion Graphics.

Production & Design Assistant

As a Production & Design Assistant at Awesome Incorporated, I designed and animated commercials for broadcast networks such as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Adult Swim

In addition to design and animation, I assist with production tasks on 3 television series for Adult Swim.

I also assist with day-to-day office operations for Awesome Incorporated and it's sister company: Bluetube Productions.

As a Film maker / Motion Graphics Intern for Adobe Systems Inc, I worked within the Imagination Lab to help develop rapid prototyping solutions for their conceptual research projects. Some of my tasks included working on large scale projects that included producing, directing, and filming short films, as well as post-production work including compositing and animating prototype software.

As a Creative Services Professional Intern for the Walt Disney Company, I have contributed to the Creative Services Team my skills in both Web Design / Development, as well as Motion Graphics. Assisting in both corporate and guest-facing design challenges, I create web interfaces for corporate needs as well as create motion graphics animations for digital signs used throughout the Walt Disney World Resort area, communicating daily to thousands of guests.

As a Digital Media / Community Help & Learning Intern with Adobe Systems Inc., I exercised my key expertise with Adobe programs including Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Edge, Adobe Flash, as well as the Creative Cloud while answering questions and providing learning content to Adobe Customers within Adobe's Community Help, which is an integrated online environment for instruction, inspiration, and support.

I also assisted in creating video tutorials, artwork, animations, and design samples. In addition to these roles, I exercised other key roles in social media, blogging, and forums, as well as writing and communication skills. Additionally, I worked with other interns as a social chair helping to organize and lead social / networking events and opportunities.

At the end of the internship, I was asked to continue my work as a part-time designer for Adobe Systems Inc.
