Common is a visual ideas company - specialising in communication across all platforms. Brands are our battlefield and with so many fighting for attention it is our sole aim to create cut through communications that allow the creative solution to shine.

Approach / Common Sense:

Common sense is not generally common practice in this over saturated industry. Ideas and agencies that succeed are the ones that do the little everyday practices that other agencies overlook… Our approach to every job large or small is very simple: Identify, engage, improve and evolve.

Strategy / Common Knowledge:

We have 20yrs experience working in the UK, New York and Sydney. So whether working direct to client or partnering existing agencies, we are equally at home developing cross-media creative that defines, styles and nurtures a brand, campaign, product or service. Large or small.

Outcome / Common Goal:

Specialising in brand and visual communication across all platforms for both independent and corporate clients, Common is set up as a collaborative and malleable creative resource. We always aim to provide visual solutions that are both forward thinking and forever memorable.

There is no ego involved throughout the process, the only condition is we have to be proud of the outcome.

Mark has worked as a creative at the highest level in the UK, New York and Sydney to name a few and has been lucky to work at some of the most influential creative agencies of the last 20 years. His breadth of knowledge spans branding, design and moving image and he has worked on some of the largest brands in the world including Foxtel, Ch10, Virgin Mobile, Nike, Telstra and Universal Stiudios before setting up Common in 2004. Commons clients have included BigPond, News Digital Media, Lonely Planet, Coca Cola, EMI, Jagermeister, Ministry of Sound and UBank to name a few, but proudly also include small start up companies to retain the balance within the studio.

Mark also represent the Australian design community as a board member of AWARD, he’s currently on the AGDA committee and has judged all major creative awards in Australia. He has also lectured in Typography at Billy Blue, Tractor and as a visiting lecturer at practically all of the Universities in Sydney. His work has been exhibited and published around the world.
