As a UX/UI designer I work as a member of a cross-functional team within Cox Media Group newspaper department. I work with a team of UX designers with my responsibilities mainly dedicated to our newspaper mobile apps team. I also service other digital products such our websites and digital newspapers. I am responsible for leading design activities within mobile apps team and creating deliverables that communicate the desired user experience of web-based products. These deliverables include wireframes, UI specifications, sitemaps, competitive analysis, prototypes, user testing, and more. I work closely with development to ensure that designs are followed to specification. I also collaborate with product owners, business analyst, and quality assurance teams to make sure the user experience goals and business requirements are met.
