Dean Elliott

Durban, South Africa
Dean Elliott started photographing for commercial clients, namely interiors and product markets while completing a degree in Fine Arts, majoring in photography. In 2004 Dean joined a studio in Durban where he spent 5 years building his expertise, specialising in jewellery and product photography for the advertising industry. He was fortunate enough to work with world class equipment such as Sinar medium format digital cameras and Broncolor lighting which he still uses to this day.

2009 Presented Dean with the opportunity to join a larger studio which allowed him to combine his skill set with that of his colleagues and learn to work as part of a team. During this time Dean spent two years lecturing for renowned institution, "Vega - school of brand leadership" in which he taught the advanced digital photography course. In 2012 Dean broke away from the studio and also stopped lecturing in order to pursue his passion as a freelance photographer.

Dean Elliott has since accumulated a body of work that speaks volumes of his skill as a product photographer. In 2015 Dean spent six months in Santiago, Chile working with a well respected studio, learning more about fashion photography where he developed his interest and his stylistic approach similar to that of his product photography - clean, bold, and minimal.

Dean currently travels between South Africa and Chile.
