Graduated in advertising at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica and today carries more than 10 years of advertising experience.

Completed his internship as a copywriter in DDB Chile and later on worked at several agencies such as Ogilvy and McCann, where he led and developed projects for Esso, Kimberly Clark, Coca Cola and Kraft, among others.

On April 2015, he took on the role as Chief Creative Officer at J. Walter Thompson Costa Rica and after only a year he managed to place the agency as 5th Most Innovative Agency Worldwide, according to the Cannes Lions Report 2016.

His case “The Second Scoreboard” is the most awarded work in the history of Central America in Cannes Lions, where he got 3 Gold Lions and 2 Bronze Lions. Also, David won the first and only Yellow Pencil from D&AD for Costa Rica and in his parallel work as a Planner, he was recognised at the first edition of Effie LATAM.

He has given lectures for Advertising Age, Universidad de Costa Rica, Universidad Veritas, Universidad Latina and Universidad Americana, plus served as jury for several festivals.
