Daryl Lisa Fazio

Freelance Graphic Designer for the Arts

Atlanta, GA, USA
I have an MFA in Graphic Design, an undergraduate degree in Theatre (Northwestern Univ.), and over 20 years of professional experience as a graphic designer, including in academia, in-house corporate design, marketing firms, non-profits, various small businesses, and the arts. I was a design professor at the college level for 10 years. Since the fall of 2010, I have been a freelance designer for professional theatre full-time.

I am intellectually curious and thrive on collaboration. I am drawn to clients involved in creative endeavors (such as theatre and fine art) and creative people. I also love to problem-solve and create useful, clear design that can make technical information usable to anyone. Additionally, I'm a produced playwright with a degree in acting for the Theatre and am a huge film buff, so storytelling, even in a static postcard, finds its way into my visual solutions.

I design because I love its beauty and clarity, but also because I love the "big idea."

Specialties: Adobe CS, HTML/CSS, web usability and interface design, all categories of print design, typography, illustration (traditional and digital), mentoring and supervising young designers, copywriting and proofing (including scriptwriting for video).
