Well recognized in the IT sphere for his development of pioneering defragmentation software, Craig Jensen leads Condusiv Technologies Corporation (formerly Diskeeper Corporation). He founded the Burbank, California, company in 1981, and serves as its Chairman. The company’s core software product, first released in the mid-1980s, ensures that Windows computers are as quick, energy efficient, long lasting, and reliable as possible. In addition to his software programming achievements, Craig Jensen has authored the book, Craft of Computer Programming.

With several years of industry experience already behind him, Mr. Jensen engaged as a contract programmer throughout the late 1970s. Diverse assignments included creating an Apple II truck cargo-tracking system and developing a corporate electronic mail network for DEC’s PDP-11. After founding Condusiv Technologies’ predecessor company, Executive Software, in 1981, he initially released the company’s dedicated email product, EXECmail.

Craig Jensen ultimately shifted his attention to the pressing problem of fragmentation, whereby data files are broken apart and scattered, creating potentially serious issues for systems managers. Craig Jensen and a fellow programmer ultimately produced the innovative Diskeeper program to handle this issue automatically. An immediate success, this flagship product increased company revenues to more than $10 million, and was ultimately adopted by the majority of Fortune 1000 firms. Read Less
