Colleen Trausch

Chicago, IL, USA
For the past three and a half years I have been gaining design experience at a variety of companies. I graduated from Saint Mary’s College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts concentrating in Graphic Designer in 2011.
For the past two years I worked at Underwriters Laboratories as a Graphic Designer within the Information and Insights division. At this role I worked closely with a marketing manager to re-brand our division and create and update the appropriate materials to match the new style. I recorded and edited videos for our division president as well as created graphics and print templates for other director-level people on the team. While there I also lent my talents to other divisions as needed. I was able to handle multiple projects across divisions as well as freelancing regularly on my own time. Recently I have been freelancing for a company to help them build a mobile workout app. I never shy away from a challenge.
After school, I first worked for Hennessy Design Group where I handled projects from multiple clients and companies This work entailed designing various layouts for Walgreens and Lowes as well as designing a new logo for the Francis Xavier Warde School alumni group. After my experience there, I then worked as the sole graphic designer at UrbanBound, a small startup company. At UrbanBound I created materials such as infographics, web banners, web graphics and ebooks for the sales and marketing departments.
