Cláudio Gil

Artist, teacher, designer and calligrapher, was born in Rio de Janeiro State on September 1968. Actually lives in the city of Rio de Janeiro and is a student of  Design History at the Master’s course at ESDI/UERJ (Superior School of Industrial Design/ Rio de Janeiro State University).

Influences

His influences in calligraphy come from great masters like Claude Mediavilla, John Stevens, Rubens Matuck, Oswaldo Miran, Gabriel Meave, Sheila & Julian Waters, Raphael Boguslav, Leonid Pronenko and specially Master Hermann Zapf, who is considered by Cláudio the reason for the existence of calligrap…
