Designing involves some theory, some creative genius and a whole lot of practice.

Good design adds to your experience without overwhelming it. It is invisible, like a ninja. It just makes sense.

I like finding the best way to get the meaning contained in a text across to someone who hasn't read it yet. I like guiding people through steps without anyone noticing. I like figuring things out.

I love being a ninja.

Work Experience


Communications, social media and design

Manage the climate change and sustainability blog, social media accounts, and mailing lists. Moderate communications for the Climate Change and Sustainability Division. Monitor, track and analyze social media presence. Ensure messages are consistent with the overall brand and meet company standards. Communicate strategic goals into actionable design solutions and execute design concepts for all the division's visual materials, orchestrating the work of any necessary external production professionals.

Provide technical expertise to the team of professional staff in the Climate Change and Sustainability Division on communication strategies for the dissemination, publication and promotion of the Division’s activities. Communicate strategic goals into actionable design solutions, establishing the conceptual and stylistic direction for the Climate Change and Sustainability Division and as well executing design concepts and orchestrating the work of any necessary external production professionals such as translators, photographers, prepress technicians, printers, and other vendors. Edit and write blog posts, manage the climate change and sustainability blog, mailing lists and social media accounts. Create and manage production of visual presence in publications, events and conferences.

Senior graphic designer | in-house

Designer for the marketing and branding team in the office of external relations. Develop concepts, design and produce print materials and identities for high-profile events and initiatives including the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Annual Meetings. Design the visual identity and corresponding materials for special initiatives in the areas of sustainable urbanism and banking. Design multimedia executive presentations.

Senior graphic designer | agency

As the lead designer for the agency, I was in charge of the design for DHL Express and the Klabin Segall construction company accounts. Designed DHL Express’ nation-wide store graphics, a variety of brochures, direct-mail pieces and a high-end custom VIP gift. Developed identities for cool spot, the city of Paraty and Tktrade.

Designed a variety of annual reports, books, flyers, posters, packaging and sites, including a hot site for PAHO's International Health Day (www.opas.org.br/gentequefazsaude), annual reports for the Brazilian Water Agency (ANA) and educational kits for the Brazilian Ministry of Education while working at the agency (www.tdabrasil.com.br). Oversaw the production of various pieces from concept to delivery to the client, working with an architect and a programmer.

Designed a variety of flyers and posters for different bank events, including a notebook for the 2007 Annual Meeting (Guatemala City), a flyer for the 2006 Annual Meeting (Belo Horizonte) and pamphlets for the 2005 Annual Meeting (Okinawa). Online and print layout of Chasqui (www.chasquionline.com). Re-designed the retiree newsletter. Designed the logo for the IDB Runner’s Association. Catalogued, printed and corrected photos for the IDB photo department.
