When most people are asked to talk about themselves, they usually cook up something very elaborate and embellished, like a three-tiered wedding cake with piped icing and edible pearls. What I can say about myself, truthfully, is that I really, really, really like to eat sweets. I’m talking borderline obsessive with the ingredient, sugar. The love of sweets I have sometimes is mirrored into what I create, which often results in pretty, girly things or fun and whimsy. Sometimes people say that my love of sweets translates into my personality. I guess I am a true testament to ‘you are what you eat!’
I’m not always sweet and girly; I can be quite serious too! Hard to believe, but when it comes down to it, I will sit and focus really, really hard on a project and will not finish until I am satisfied. That final step and dedication is like taking a blowtorch to a freshly whipped meringue on a perfect Baked Alaska!
When I don’t have my serious-poker-face on, I always put on my happy face. I will always be that one person who says “Hello!” Usually people who come within my bubble feel warm and happy as well. I want people to feel joy and sweetness, as if they’re biting into a hot glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut.
