My name is Ankit Singh, and I am the founder of Charcoallines. Having graduated from Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton (2014), I am now working independently as a multidisciplinary graphic artist, based in New Delhi and London. I have had the pleasure of being the featured artist in some Indian Newspaper such as The Times of India, Hindustan, and Rashtriya Sahara. While still at university, my work was selected for a group exhibition in London as well as shortlisted under the category 'New Talent’ for The Association of Illustration Award (2014).

As a graphic artist, I like to create my own unique textures and weave geometric shapes into tactile organic forms. I specialise in making contemporary illustration, combining intricate paper pattern with printmaking, and designing to produce artwork in traditional and digital media. By crafting and weaving paper to blend colours and time in an ambiguous frame, my artwork conveys a feeling of solitary refinement in a momentary stretch, which to me is an intuitive and a meditative process. Drawing my inspiration from Rajput, Baroque and Post-impressionist art, I also like listening to deep-house, eating broccoli and making boxes.
