Corporate Identity and Branding

Chris started his career in Australia, working for a series of design agencies from the late 90s.
With the taste for Japanese beer, instinct took over and he settled in Tokyo, working for boutique agency Hypu before joining Ogilvy Action (previously Bates 141) a few years later.

Taking on as many karaoke bars, Audi, Unilever and Reebok briefs he could manage, Chris went from Design Director to Creative Director to Group Creative Director in the space of only 2 years within Ogilvy Tokyo.

In 2008 his team lead the Agency to their biggest pitch win for Coca-Cola Japan, CCJCs Billion dollar tea brand ‘Sokenbicha’. Following the win, Chris was appointed as Creative Director to run the entire 360° integrated account across TV, Digital, Retail and Activation.

Chris continued his CD role on Coca-Cola from 2008-2011, creating integrated campaigns while filming Japans best talents in weird and wonderful locations across the globe, his favourite to date with Yutaka Takenouchi and Anne Watanabe in N.Z.

In 2010, he and his team developed Coca-Cola Japan’s largest ‘vending’ campaign to date, which activated close to a million individual vending machines across the country into a unique digital/mobile engagement platform.

After 5 years in Ogilvy Japan, gallons of shouchu, award winning campaigns (plus a load of hangovers), Chris decided to move on and take up a new role with Ogilvy Action (now Geometry Global) Singapore in late 2011.

As ECD, Chris has built the initial team of 2 into a core of 12 creative specialists, each one working across local and regional markets. He continues in his third successive year of growth in Singapore for a list of clients including GSK, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Lenovo, and Philips amongst others.

After a huge year in 2014, he stood on stage with his regional Geometry management team to collect Campaign’s Specialist Network Agency of the year award.

Chris has won accolades across multiple advertising and design shows globally and locally including LIA, One Show, Clio, Spikes, DMA, AdStars, Campaign, Best of Ogilvy and Good Design Show.
