The Design Center is a creative agency for the School of Visual Arts of Puerto Rico founded to provide professional in-house and independent client design services. The Design Center fosters participation of faculty and students and the School’s administration.
The job description includes these duties:
• Oversee and manage an effective graphic design team of around 10 designers and interns from different art and design disciplines (Graphic Design, Art Education, Painting, Sculpture, Industrial Design and Fashion Design).
• Conceptualize and administer the School’s visual identity across all print and digital media.
• Principal liaison between School’s Rector and Board of Trustees, Academic Dean, Admissions Office, faculty and other external groups in resolving their specific graphic design problems.
• Directly supervised by the School’s Rector
• Create, supervise and maintain all collateral materials for print, digital and multimedia projects in accordance with Schools graphic design guidelines.
• Design, supervise and guide the design team in signage, catalogue and promotion for at least eight annual exhibitions in our Gallery.
• Responsible of managing production workflows, meeting deadlines, examining contracts with clients, vendors and suppliers.
• In charge of preparing bid specifications and cost estimates for all projects.
• Recommend the purchase of software and hardware based on an assessment of administrative rules and policies to effectively manage graphic design services.
• Prepare the annual budget and business plan for all collateral and School’s design services.
• Assist faculty and all administrative officials with multimedia and graphic design projects.

This website is an online showcase featuring all 63 artists and their work. It was all designed, maintained and updated through Dreamweaver.
