Raimonda Stelmokiene, also known as Celerina Mo (12 August 1989),
a Lithuanian printmaker, ceramicist and photographer.

When I feel ‘creatively’ sleepy, I remind my self of one quote by Alexandre Dumas: ‘Ideas do not become extinct; they slumber sometimes, but only revive the stronger before they sleep entirely’. Then I just lie down and close my eyes, sinking in a stream of thoughts, then slowly dive into a light sleep. Ideas are jumping in the form of different visual images in my head, I only have to wake up with and eagerness create.

You could not miss frequent uncertainty and exceptional passion in my art pieces. I was always fascinated by incompatible things – eclecticism, contrasts, combination of old and new (digital) techniques. I hardly fit in a flat surface. Often my graphics prints are being complimented by volumetric objects as well as extraordinary materials combined into a single composition. Through a variety of mediums I strive to stand out from a bunch of others. It is important to not only see the piece of art, but also to be able touch and feel the texture, the shape, the structure. That is the main reason why I decided to choose Studies of Applied Ceramics for my Master’s Degree. My creative path is more related to so called sculptural ceramics. Inspired by the surreal ceramics of Sergei Isupov, I am certain of my choice. I strongly believe that ceramics will help to reveal my hidden skills as an artist. I wan to revive a long history of ceramic art, which was in almost all developed, but now vanished cultures. I want to break stereotype that this authentic craft is only for pottery making.
