With a background in graphic design, he has refined his skills and knowledge to pursue his life long passion of illustration. Brodie often draws his inspiration from his love affair with surfing and the ocean, including these as themes throughout his works. 

Brodie often combines fluid compositions and a lucid colour palette, so his drawings tell a story that is vibrant and energetic, bursting with life.
