Eccentric is the way I’m described by many people I know, and to me that’s a compliment. If you were to ask them why, they would tell you straight away that I’m passionate about my interests, creative, mad about detail, and unlike the norm. It’s these qualities which have always resulted in me building strong bonds with not just friends, but also people with whom I work. I’ve always been good as a leader, and have done so on several occasions. I’ve been a halls rep in my first year of University, a course rep on my foundation year, a form rep and deputy head boy during sixth form, and I’ve led people on numerous group projects. One of my most recent roles as a team leader saw me heading the fundraising group of my Graphic Design degree show at Coventry University, where the aim was to raise £3500. Not only was the target reached, but also surpassed. The governing of this task enhanced my skills in the areas of communication, organisation, and time management. I also pride myself on my ability to meet deadlines, which has always seen me be a generally stress free person and gives me the ability to have great flexibility.
Throughout my Art & Design education, I have gained an abundance of skills in both physical and digital practices. Whether that is just a simple pencil sketch, or a large scale screen print, and whether that is a small digital illustration of a fully functioning HTML website, I have a varied experience across the spectrum.
