April 27th, 2011 was a day that forever changed my life and has impacted the way I look at life now. As I looked around at all the damage and listened to the chaos that an EF-4 tornado caused in just seconds, It made me realize how blessed I am and how I have to seize every moment in life. I never want to take life for granted and I want to be able to use my abilities to help people however I can. This is what got me interested in graphic design. I came home from the University of Alabama and did an internship at Hill Crest Baptist Church, where my main job was presentation on things like brochures and logos. I had no clue that I would become so passionate about what I was doing and being able to help people. I love being able to create something from nothing; starting with a small idea and seeing it through till it is finished. What makes me happy is first and foremost the people in my life because without them I would be nothing and I would have nothing. I want to be able to minister through creative arts full time whether that be through a church or a secular job and be able to show Christ through my work. Living for other people makes me happy and seeing customer satisfaction with my current and future jobs is what I enjoy the most. Ultimately I would like to live somewhere near a big city that is thriving and has economical growth and plenty of things to do. A place where I can have a great family and a great atmosphere like Chattanooga, TN or Pensacola, FL. In the near future I would like to be using my career to help further someone’s business or career. I want to be somewhere making logos, videos, websites, brochures, etc. That is where my heart is and I just want to give back and help people thrive through my work. I love just going and having fun, whether it be doing something outdoors with friends or indoors, just anything exciting. I like playing video games, reading, doodling, running, and going to the gym.
