Agency Boon
Ux/Ui, Web and Graphic Designer
Since I started in 2013 I have contributed to building hundreds of websites and designed thousands of graphics for social media, prints, and logos.
In the beginning, the company was called Liberace Design and it was a start-up annex of an NGO called eLiberare as a source of income.
I started as a web and front-end designer, building websites in Squarespace and Wordpress using Visual Builder.
In 2014 I moved slowly to Graphic Designer and Web Designer. The research, wireframes, and style were already made by the partners we were working for and I was building just the design for each page. As a graphic designer, I was creating print materials, graphics for visual motion videos, graphics for videos and social media graphics.
In 2016 Liberace Design becomes Agency Boon and become a Digital Marketing Agency with a focus on social good.
I was slowly moving from a graphic designer/web designer to a UX/UI Designer with a focus on web designs. Graphic design was more of a secondary responsibility.
As a UX/UI Designer, I was building websites.
- do research based on a brief
- setting a structure and wireframes based on StoryBrand guidelines
- build design guide called style tile
- build the website design
- following up with front end developers to make sure the websites are matching the designs.
Because I have a wide knowledge of development, my website is very easily-made to be responsive and structured. The user experience was standard and most of the time is not changed much from each site.
This took me from 2017 into a new direction of mentoring designers and front end developers as a secondary role:
- I'm building assets to help people jump over knowledge gaps.
- Investing in other with resources and materials
- Creating step by step tutorials and processes of know-how
- Problem Solving
- Creating methods to speed up the implementation of websites
My main role is User Experience and User Interface Designer.
