Denis Bégin specialises in branding and design.

Since end 2012, he holds the creative director role for Philips Design, heading the brand communication expressions worldwide for the Lighting sector. He has taken part in shaping the new brand identity around the new brand promise “innovation and you”, and plays a leading role in bringing it to life in all professional lighting (B2B) segments as well as in consumer lamps, connected lighting and consumer luminaires.

Before joining the health and well-being giant, Bégin co-founded BeginStudio in 2006 (now BeginBranding) a small independant branding agency in the heart of Amsterdam.

From 2002 to 2006 he was design director for the fashion brand Mexx where he was responsible for the visual identity and design direction for worldwide consumer and POS communications. Denis also took part in the brand strategy process and lead the overall product branding strategy.

Prior to that, he built up solid experiences in advertising and marketing as an art director at Cossette, the largest Canadian communication group and thereafter moved to Europe to fulfill a creative director position at a fashion focused agency in Hamburg.

Throughout his career, Denis has worked for leading brands like Coca-Cola, General Motors, Bell Canada, McDonalds, Mexx, Nike, Reebok and Philips amongst others.
