Currently running my own successful photography business. As well as my photography/photoshop skills, I have a broad and strong skill set and am solely responsible for all aspects of the business including business planning, marketing, website design and SEO, book design, client management, book-keeping and financial management, and all photography and image editing. I was a founder member of LADAPP (Lancaster & District Association of Professional Photographers) and MAC (Morecambe Artist Colony). I have exhibited widely in the local area and was a finalist for the prestigious Professional Photographer of the Year Award in 2014. In addition, I work freelance as a part-time arts Administrator for a number of local organisations.

My duties for Litfest, a literature development agency and charity with an annual literature festival, included financial planning and reporting, statistical information management, boxes office management, marketing, website management, database management, preparing and writing funding applications and strategic business planning. I managed the Litfest bookshop, including volunteer staff team and also managed various art projects. I was the first point of contact for all public activity, facilitated meetings of the Board of Directors, liaised with artists, managed diaries, and maintained organisational policies and customer databases. I was sadly made redundant in December 2012 following the loss of Arts Council funding.

Crossing Borders was a British Council distance learning creative writing programme, managed from Lancaster University, and operating across Africa to assist developing writers. My role was to offer administrative support (one day a week) to the Project Manager. This involved liaison with the UK based writing mentors and the British Council offices in Africa, to ensure effective communication, chase up and process all paperwork, pay invoices, track completion of project assignments and all associated reports.
