My name is Brittany Bartolanzo and I am an illustrator, mostly for children's books but I work as a graphic designer and storyboard artist as well. My unique illustration technique in layering chipboard allows me to give an added depth to my images not usually seen unless done with paper. However, unlike paper, my colors are not limited to the hues I can find or print. With the chipboard I am able to paint on top a variety of colors and even get creative with texture. My main painting medium are acrylics, which allow me to paint different colors, scratching the top most layer with different designs to show the colors underneath. I spent my time honing my unique techniques as a student at Pratt and find it can be used for a variety of print media and even stop motion animation.

Should you be interested in further speaking with me for potential work, I can be contacted at artbbart@msn.com. Thank you for viewing my work and have a good day. Read Less

As part of a Christmas gift to his wife and their daughter, my client I requested I create a portrait. Because he loved my use of color pencils and my botanical design seen in my previous work, he asked for the medium to be prismacolor pencils and garden plants to be in the portrait.

Album, Fall 2015
To celebrate her 8th anniversary, a client requested I design a photo album of her and her boyfriend's first vacation together. She wished it to be made even more special with the addition of my illustrations. Not only did I add illustrations, but I have added lines from their emails to create a story with their own words.

VIDO Character/Layout design for Game, 2015
Almost immediately after the storyboard, the director of VIDO commissioned me to design the characters and basic layout for an app game she was creating. Unfortunately, they will not be used.

VIDO Storyboard, Winter 2015
Working with the director, I was commissioned to create a storyboard for the company, VIDO, for their commercial selling property in Brooklyn.

Where the Balloons Go, 2014-2015
Children's Book, LifeFilm Entertainment
After successfully finishing their commission to illustrate an opening sequence for "MeiLynn's World", LifeFilm Entertainment commissioned me to illustrate a children's book called "Where the Balloons Go," written by Peilin Chou, to help pitch a new idea for a movie. The book was later reviewed by Kirkus and they stated, "Bartolanzo's depictions of Cooper are enchanting: in one conversation with Newton, Cooper is sitting cross-legged in the air, capturing the floating boy's energy. The lost balloons and the arc of the rainbow are brilliantly portrayed in full color." The full review can be viewed here: https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/peilin-chou/where-the-balloons-go/.
