True creativity, by default is rebellion in its simplest form. It’s a timeless currency that ushers in the new and reaps the weak like winter wheat. Humanities’ great heroes seize opportunity, redefine social structure and challenge outmoded business models. They push boundaries and improve our lives, but not without great risk. The heroically creative put everything on the line for their innovations and constantly battle change adverse ideals, pessimism, and near sighted perceptions. It’s not easy to go against the grain, to exclaim, WE CAN DO BETTER!, but the opportunity is well worth the risk. Being a man of advertising, one must question the ethical dilemmas in adding to the riff raff and bumble-puppy of this growingly superficial marketplace. Being a man of advertising, one must question the ethical dilemmas in adding to the riff raff and bumble-puppy of this growingly superficial marketplace. Marketing and advertising seems to be mostly about being the biggest attention whore and we (marketers) are battling for your eyes, ears, like, and wallet.

This all seems a bit too soulless, divisive, and confrontational to customers. Advertising and products need to be more in-tune with the human condition. Companies must be more human, intuitive and position themselves as an extension of the customer, not an enemy, hindrance or an obstruction. The company of tomorrow must be truly empathetic to their target market in every shape and form. This idea is truly progressive. Progressive not in the sense that it's cutting edge, but in that, it's an obvious, sensible, next step in the evolution of the marketplace. Read Less
