Work Experience

Chicago Women In Architecture

Volunteer; Diversity Liaison & Scholarship Chair

I am so excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the efforts of the CWA. This not-for-profit organization is fabulous, dedicated to advancing the status of women in architecture and related areas and a perfect venue for networking with other women professionals.

I am just getting my feet wet as the Diversity Liaison (elections were early May) but I can tell you that my one interaction with the leadership of INOMA and Arquitectos was inspiring! FYI; we are working on bringing the mentoring profile into what we hope will go beyond the traditional model of . . . really excited -> confused -> frustrated ->dissatisfied -> the final stage of 'over it'

As for my role as scholarship chair I am going to be looking for the expert guidance of Deirdre Colgan who has done an excellent job shepherding this effort for the past 3 years.

Consulting / Contract

During these uniquely challenging times I have taken the opportunity to expand my skill sets by taking advanced rendering and animation, working on various pro bono projects such as the design and proposal for the greening of my condo building rooftop and becoming involved once again in the pursuits of Chicago Women in Architecture. In addition to these character building activities I been actively promoting my artwork, have joined Creative Circles network of Freelance Graphic Professionals to keep my presentation ability current and have secured a few interesting projects including a month long collaboration in Shanghai, China with Strabala & Woo Architects for a 2 Tower Competition in the Beijing Central Business District.
