I’m the Creative Director for Booksource, the premier trade book distributor to K-12 school classrooms across the country. We work with hundreds of publishers representing more than 30,000 book titles to sell and distribute authentic literature to educators who use real books, called trade books (versus textbooks), to teach reading, writing and other subjects. I oversee a team of five creative and marketing professionals and manage the annual spend. Our most exciting work to date includes the overhaul of annual catalogs and the campaigns around those efforts, implementing and maintaining a content marketing strategy and implementing best email marketing practices to improve our promotional email open rates to well above industry standard.

Before joining Booksource, I worked as a Designer, Production Artist, Production Manager, Photographer and Photoshop Artist, and was lucky enough to work with amazing clients such as Express Scripts, Monsanto and Conde Naste.

I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other designers, makers, thinkers, print nerds and marketers. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I truly love solving problems through a collaborative process. It’s always my goal to work closely with the client or business leader to understand his or her business objectives, so at the end of a project or campaign everyone feels they achieved something good and true.

I have a BA in Graphic Arts Technology-Management from the University of Central Missouri and an MFA in Creative Writing from the New School in New York City.

I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect. Read Less
